Sean has always had a love for the game of hockey.  He grew up in the northwest suburbs of Chicago and started playing hockey at age 4 for the Buffalo Grove Sharks.  As a Peewee, he played for the Barrington Redwings and then played four years for Stevenson High School.  Sean went on to play D1 Club hockey while in college at Illinois State. After college, Sean pursued a career in fitness and personal training.  His fitness training experience includes being a strength coach for FFC in Chicago, and Off-Ice Training Lead for TPD Hockey at Fifth Third Arena.  In 2019, Sean created Hammond Sports Performance in order to link his two passions, off-ice training and on-ice coaching.  Since then, Sean has been Director of Off-Ice training for the Chicago Stallions, as well as a beloved team coach for the Stallions Bantam level.  In addition, Sean is Strength and Conditioning Coach for the St. Ignatius College Prep’s JV and Varsity teams, as well as Co-Coach for the St. Ignatius JV team, winner of the 2021 Catholic School league’s Championship DiCristina Cup.  Sean’s holistic coaching philosophy and principles are focused on making a positive impact on his players both on and off the ice.
